Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television personality and lingerie model. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and was the winner of series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. Since 2015, she has been hosting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool and is the second-oldest of the four kids of Karen (nee Sullivan) and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was raised in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and attended St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy was a member of the girl group Genie Queen, which was managed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was one of the 13 finalists in Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model, which saw her compete over 10 weeks to win a contract as a model. Clancy and fellow contestant Lianna fowler were able to make it to the final runway show, where they were eventually crowned the runner-up. After being featured on Britain's Next Top Model, Clancy was a model for a variety of magazines and newspapers. Clancy was a model in Arena magazine in the month of May 2007. He was featured on the cover wearing the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was also featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was highlighted for her sporting connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed for the magazine wearing just body paint to appear like she was wearing the England shirt, photographed by Yu Tsai. Clancy was featured as a model for Umbro sportswear's 2010 campaign. Clancy was a model for Giles Deacon's Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011. She was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign in July 2013. The editorial was created by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy, along with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was featured in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire in July 2014 and British Elle in March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October of 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion brand, to introduce their AW'19 collection. The collection was launched in UAE in January 2020.
