Will Ferrell
first became well-known as a member of the cast of "Saturday Night Live.
Later, he appeared in many major-screen comedies including Elf, Anchorman' and
even ’Talladega Nights. In 1967, in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell began his
career in comedy as a member of the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, group
the Groundlings. Following his seven-year tenure as a Saturday Night Live cast
member, Ferrell became one of the most well-known comedic actors in the industry
by releasing off-color films such as Old School (2003) or Anchorman: The Legend
of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell cofounded the popular video streaming platform
Funny or Die. He is also a highly popular voice actor in animated films like
Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on
July 16th 1967. Will Ferrell is the eldest child of Righteous Brothers
keyboardist Lee Ferrell (and Kay Ferrell), but he wasn't an ideal class clown
when he was in University High School. Studious and somewhat quiet, Ferrell
chose to make his mark on the football field, where he established a record at
the school for the most field goals he scored. Ferrell's suburban home wasn't
the best place for his outrageous and funny outbursts later to define his
career.
