Abigale Miller bio

Abigale Lee Miller(born September 21, 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor and a reality television star. Abby Lee Dance Company is her creation, which ran for eight seasons on Dance Moms. Miller pleaded guilty on June 27, 2016 , to criminal bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced for one and a half years in federal prison. She was released on the 27th of March 2018. The diagnosis of lymphoma was made in April of this year. It's a kind of cancer that leaves her unfit to walk. To get around she uses wheelchair. Miller grew up around dance in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, an Pittsburgh suburb. She was studying under the tutelage of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14 when she was given choreography and coaching duties for one of her mother's competitive dance teams. Miller eventually assumed control of the studio, renaming it Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and was also a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012 because Miller's show on reality television Dance Moms was a "complete mistaken portrayal of our teachers and their students" and was damaging to the profession.
